What we collect

For the free list: the email you submit. For purchases: the email and billing details you provide to our payment processor (Stripe), and the purchase record Stripe returns to us. We keep privacy-free aggregate page counts. If you arrive from one of our LinkedIn ads, the LinkedIn Insight Tag also records that visit (see Advertising below).

How we use it

To deliver downloads, send your purchase and re-download links, and send occasional product updates you can unsubscribe from. We do not sell your personal data.

Advertising

We run ads on LinkedIn. To measure them and to show follow-up ads to people who have visited the site, we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which sets cookies and shares limited visit data (such as the page URL and your IP address) with LinkedIn. It is not required to use the site or download anything - you can opt out in your LinkedIn account settings (Ads) or by blocking the tag in your browser. We use no other third-party advertising trackers.

Processors

We use Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Neon (database), Railway (hosting), and LinkedIn (ad measurement - see Advertising). Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number.

Retention

We keep the free-list email and purchase records only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal and tax obligations, and delete them on request. Our MCP connector and public API are read-only and store no request or user data. Aggregate page counts contain no personal data.

Browser extension

Our browser extension (Shadow AI List for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox) collects and transmits no personal data. It checks the address of the tab you are viewing against a list of AI tools entirely on your device - the address, your browsing history, and the pages you visit never leave your browser and are never sent to us or anyone else. Its only network request is a weekly download of our public top-100 AI tool list, which sends nothing about you. No analytics or trackers run inside the extension; the LinkedIn Insight Tag described under Advertising is part of this website only and does not run in the extension.
